Today is the Day!!

Today is "Spread the Word to End the Word" day...as in the day to end the use of the word retard, retarded, and 'tard.  Everytime you use those words to describe something you don't like, it's like a slap in the face to me and to Miss B.  Miss B deserves respect--she's fights for everything in her life (including getting her heart to work right, breathing deeply, learning to sit, crawl, eat--I could go on and on) a lot harder than most of us have too--so why wouldn't we show her some respect and end the use of the word that perpetuates the idea that Miss B isn't a valuable member of society?  Go to http://www.r-word.org/ and sign the pledge and stop using those words.  Thanks so much!
