This is a shameless brag about my husband, but after spending so five long years in graduate school (and the years for the undergrad), I think it's deserved. Today, Dr. Corn defended his dissertation and passed! So now he officially has a Ph.D. Isn't that awesome?!?! I am so proud of him for working so hard and doing so fabulously well at his schooling. His dissertation ended up being about 250 pages--one chapter is already published in Agronomy Journal and another chapter is in revisions to be published in the Journal of Precision Agriculture, and the other chapters will eventually be journal articles as well. What a major accomplishment! We have been in school the entire time we have known each other, so as we celebrate our 7th Anniversary this Sunday, being done with school is the best anniversary present I could get. Way to go Dr. Corn!!
I'm a Midwestern girl who's lived in Missouri, Utah, Missouri again, Nebraska, Mississippi and Iowa. This is my story of life with my farmer-turned-professor husband, two exceptional little boys, and one extraordinary little girl who happens to have Trisomy 21, or Down syndrome. The stories you are about to read are all real; I couldn't make it up if I tried.
