We had a fun 4th of July--just the five of us. It was so nice to have relaxing day with no schedule, no places to go, nothing in particular to do--we haven't had a day like that in months! The only thing that was sad was that last year on the 4th I ran a half-marathon; this year, I would be doing great to run a half-mile! Oh, how many things can change in one short year! We did some fireworks in the evening--I sent Dr. Corn and the boys out to get some in the morning, but Dr. Corn didn't buy any big ones because T-Man said "they were too dangerous". (What kid tells his dad that?!?) When I told Dr. Corn I was bummed that he didn't get any loud, big fireworks, he said I was insulting his manhood so he went back out and got some big ones. In the end, we had a pretty good home show.
I got some cute pictures of Miss Banana smiling--I did her hair in pigtails for the first time and I think they turned out pretty cute! I will say that I have no clue when it comes to how to do a little girl's hair--with the boys you just had to mush it down and it would be great--now we've entered the world of hair bands, clips, barrettes, headbands, bows, etc.--yikes!
