Regular Floor

Carrie is doing well today. They moved her to a general hospital room around noon today. We actually skipped the ICU in this process, due to a lack of available beds. Yesterday evening they moved her into a small room in the recovery area. The room was much quieter and darker than the recovery 'stalls', so she was able to sleep better last night. They also snagged a recliner for me and stuffed it into the room, which was great.

They did a CT scan this morning and Dr. Brain came in shortly afterwards to tell us things looked fine. Carrie says to tell everyone that she's moving but she can't really make facial expressions yet because it "feels like someone is pulling on the hair that I don't have. So don't make me laugh yet."

I snapped a few pictures:

Carrie in surgery prep room at 6AM yesterday

In recovery room yesterday evening.

Carrie in the new pad.

Trying out the chair in the new room.

The impressive view from our pricey corner pad on the 5th floor.
The OT/PT (therapy) people just came by and walked with Carrie down the hall to see how she's doing. All I have to say is...Wow. Brain surgery. 24 hours ago. Walking down the hall. WOW! How blessed we've been through this whole process.

Thank you all for your prayers and support.
